We are a family of diverse believers in Jesus Christ, as well as many who are simply investigating Jesus with us. Come as you are.
CURRENT SERMON SERIES:
THE BOOK OF PSALMS
This Summer we are in a series looking at the book of Psalms. The Psalms have served as the songbook for God’s people, teaching us to pray, to sing, and to stand in awe at the majesty of God. They inform our minds, stir our affections, direct our steps, and capture our imaginations. The Psalms speak to every area of life.
At Mountain City Kids, our secure environments are staffed with loving volunteers and our check in system ensures that things like allergies and other special directions are taken seriously.
* The last Sunday of every month is Family Worship Sunday - a time when elementary age kids gather with the adults to worship together. Nursery care is still available.
NURSERY (0 - 4 YEARS OLD)
If you have kids that are 4 years old and under, you can bring them a few minutes before our Sunday gatherings begin. A trained and qualified volunteer will gladly get your children signed up, issue nametags, and give you a unique pick-up slip to help ensure your children's safety and security. Of course, if you want to keep your kids with you for the entire worship gathering, please do!
ELEMENTARY (KINDERGARTEN - 5TH GRADE)
Kids in Kindergarten - 5th grade will explore The Gospel Project for Kids Curriculum together. This is a unique, three-year program that helps ground children in the gospel story from Genesis to Revelation. The curriculum includes age-appropriate illustrations, activities, worship songs and more. Again, if you'd rather your kids stay with you for the whole worship gathering, that's great.
We see Mountain City Kids as a means to help parents introduce their children to God and the gospel and increase their love for both. Their time in the classroom is meant to be a supplement to what you're doing in the home (Deuteronomy 6:7-8, Proverbs 22:6). We encourage you to use the materials your child brings home for family times of growing and learning together.
We want to see our youth step into their part of God’s story. We want them to love Jesus and know his incredible love for them.
At Mountain City Church, we recognize that middle school and high school are pivotal times in the life of our children. Because of this we have begun to cultivate a place for our middle school and high school students to begin to gather and grow together. Our youth ministry primarily exists to foster a love for Jesus, for one another, and for our friends and neighbors who have yet to follow Christ.
